This one-hour continuing education seminar offers a comprehensive overview of patient positioning and immobilization tecniques for the breast and thorax area.

Seminar attendees will have the opportunity to participate in several hands-on demonstrations of innovative techniques and devices for this anatomical area.

After this seminar participants will be able to:

  • Recognize the challenges of breast and thorax positioning and immobilization
  • Identify the basic locatlizatioon points and planes used for accurate positioning and immobilization
  • Recognize the functions, strengths and limitations of current devices and techniques
  • Recognize the direction of the future breast and thorax positioning and immobilization techniques and devices and their impact on quality radiation therapy
  • Participate in hands-on demonstrations with several techniques and devices
