CIVCO Adds eTRAX and Sensor Compatibility with 3D Guidance medSAFE Tracker
KALONA, Iowa – CIVCO Medical Solutions has introduced its eTRAX™ Needle Tracking system, including a general purpose electromagnetic sensor, for use with the 3D Guidance medSAFE Tracker. eTRAX is compatible with imaging systems with navigation technology, 3D Guidance medSAFE trackers and driveBAY trackers. The general purpose EM sensors are compatible with tracking brackets, active markers and CIVCO’s VirtuTRAX™ instrument navigator.
eTRAX offers the next advancement in image guidance by tracking the tip of a needle using electromagnetic technology and real-time navigation in the interventional suite. This system allows physicians safe and precise placement of instruments during each procedure by monitoring the real-time trajectory of the needle as it advances.
CIVCO’s general purpose EM sensor is a vital component in navigation technologies; the sensor is designed to attach to custom, reusable tracking brackets for leading transducers and other medical devices. The general purpose sensor allows tracking of the device, providing clinical confidence in precise instrument placement.
