CIVCO Introduces Ultra-Pro II™ Guides and Brackets for Alpinion Transducers

KALONA, IA, USA – CIVCO Medical Solutions has introduced Ultra-Pro II needle guides and brackets compatible with Alpinion’s L3-12 and SC1-6 ultrasound transducers. The Ultra-Pro II utilizes a two-part system consisting of a custom reusable biopsy bracket and a disposable snap-on needle guide. The Ultra-Pro II needle guide incorporates flexibility and advanced features to increase productivity during ultrasound-guided procedures.

The Ultra-Pro II features a larger tab for improved quick-release function, allowing easy detachment of the needle from the transducer. Easy-to-read gauge sizes on the inserts make it simple to identify and alter gauge sizes in a darkened ultrasound suite. The guide features a larger funnel for instrument insertion and will accept a full range of sizes including 8.5 FR, 14-23GA (19GA not available).

Anticipated ultrasound applications for the Alpinion L3-12 transducer with Ultra-Pro II needle guidance include breast, thyroid, musculoskeletal, peripheral vascular and testicular procedures. For the Alpinion SC1-6 and Ultra-Pro-II, anticipated ultrasound applications include abdominal, ob/gyn, fetal and pediatric echocardiography and peripheral vascular procedures.
