Introduced over 30 years ago, Cidex Activated Dialdehyde solution is a fast and effective way to disinfect and sterilize a wide variety of medical devices and instruments. Cidex 14 day use, a 2.4% alkaline glutaraldehyde solution, destroys 99.8% of Mycobacterium tuberculosis in 45 minutes at 25 degrees Celsius. Cidex Plus (a high-level disinfectant, 20 minutes at 25 degrees Celsius) is a 3.4% glutaraldehyde solution. Cidex OPA (ortho-phthalaldehyde) is compatible with a wide range of medical devices. Requiring no activation or mixing, Cidex OPA destroys Mycobacteruim tuberculosis in 12 minutes at 20 degrees Celsius. Enzol Enzymatic Detergent is an effective way to remove tough, dried-on or hard to reach organic matter from instruments before disinfecting in Cidex. Effective at room temperature, Enzol will not clog scopes or leave a residue on instruments.
