CIVCO Medical Solutions announces the release of the 3D Pathologic Mapping Kit, a solution for Prostate Saturation Biopsy. Saturation Biopsy is a Medicare approved procedure involving the collection of 20+ biopsies transperineally using a template grid performed under general or regional anesthesia.
The Kit organizes the prostate into 8 regions (octants) and further divides each octant into 3 zones. The midline biopsies are segregated resulting in a total of 26 sections. The Kit contains corresponding pathology mats and specimen jar labels to the sections described above assuring rapid and accurate specimen capture and transfer.
